Already posted this on bodybuilding.com, pretty proud of it.

I hit 675lbs raw today at 16 today, Im probably good for 690 if I took some time off, I have been purposley over training latley and only took 2 seperate days off training legs and lower back in almost 2 weeks.

Also, thanks to everyone who helped me with the knee wrap thread, I got another 25lbs on my squat since then and Im thinking thats mostly from wraping the knee wraps better.

Very impressive. Better have that guy on the left practice placing the pin back in your "monolift" though. He looked like he almost stabbed his pin right into the bar. Nice lifting though.

Huge squat. You are a beast. What do your other lifts look like?

Not to good....

Bench is 315x9 Deadlift used to be 635x3 touch and go with wraps and 610x5, but then I layed off deadlifts. I can still get 635, but they are no where near where they should be.

Im working my way down in the power rack with 700lbs, moveing down 2" every workout for as many reps as I can. hopefully I will pull 700lbs in a few months.

I did a gym meet and did 600 335 600, missed 620 squat (no wraps) missed 365 bench, couldnt go back down. And I was so tired and hungry I just did 600 on deadlift.

Im not to big on gear, takes a long time to put it on, to take it off, to learn the gear. Its expensive and takes a while to get the right sized gear.

My goal is 2000lb total at 18 raw, and maybe someday to break Kaz's record.

Sick lift man! You definitely are a beast and can do some damage if you get into competing!

Get some damn spotters though. The Ghetto-monolift is a good idea to avoid the walkout, but you need a few people spotting close when going that heavy. The pins are there I know, but spotters help a lot.

Compete. I am not joking. if you do not start competing, it will an absolute WASTE of talent. Strength like yours is extremely rare; you are one of the few humans who, at 16, could even dream of doing what you're doing.

Don't waste it. Please.

Ditto. Look, that was impressive as hell. You are really strong, there is no doubt about that.

And believe me, I know the importance of getting pumped up, but the bench/dumbell toss is just totally unnecessary. With your size and strength you don't need to be doing that type of crap.

It is far more impressive to be a gentle giant.

But that's not to take away from your incredible strength. Just giving you some advice, please take it in the spirit it is intended.

Perhaps, but I wouldnt set world records.

Its not really about winning a meet, I want to be the strongest kid under 18 who ever lived. As far as most weight lifted, and powerlifting goes.

I say that because I cant think of any cooler lifting goals to have, while Im still under 18 lol.

I'm going to direct my good friend and training partner John Bernor to this thread. He just signed up here this week. He is probably the strongest Christian you will ever meet(both physically and spiritually). He works as a youth Pastor and knows the Bible well. Your parents are right, you have a gift from God. Im in florida to, I didnt compete this year because I got a pec injury and shin splits a few months ago so I wouldnt be able to compete at my best.

Next year I plan to take states as a SHW, I dont even do cleans and I can get 280 with a push press, if i could get my form down on clean and jerk I could probably get up to 405 next year.

I don't think he has done a standard raw squat cycle since then. He usually squats in gear first(with or without bands) and then does pause squats(raw/no belt) afterwards(weekly). He has squatted 1110@308 in competition in full gear since then. I think if it was what he wanted to do, he could do a raw squat cycle and hit a monster raw squat(well over 800).

man, if you don't try football, you're selling yourself short. With your raw strength and size, you could easily push defensive linemen around like ragdolls. At least give it a shot and see how it turns out...I guarantee you could play D1 just based on your strength. Who knows, 5-6 years from now we could be seeing you on Sundays in the NFL.

I have looked, the closest gym with a monolift and some chains is 17 miles away, and I cant drive there 4 days a week much less 5-7 like I usually do.

the current gym I go to is pretty cool, dumbells up to 150's squat and big power rack. Saftey squat bar, and we are getting some chains in a few days. There are tons of hammer strength machines, and chalk is allowed not to mention deadlifting ing isnt frowned upon like the last gym I went to.

that and I got some good friends who I met there who have the same goals as me which is nice.

It would be incredible if I could go up to westside barbell over the summer for a few weeks (my parents would let me, I just have to be allowed in the place lol) to have my form and weaknesses evaluated. Get my self on the right track for the next year of lifting.

Just a though consdering alot of the attitude to the internet, send Westside a letter deatilaing yourself, maybe some pics and meet papers or something asking about the possbility of coaching.

I have trained in a no nonsense atmosphere, if you do go there do not under any circumsnce talk back or make suggestions, they will do everything for you provided you listen and bust your balls.

Definitely hook up with some PL'ers. You won't be sorry. You are a freak of nature at age 16 and it would be a shame not to do everything you can to live up to your potential, because you have lots.

Also, 17 miles is nothing if it's something you really want. 17 miles a few days a week will do much more for you than a trip to Westside will.

dude i would kill to have a great PL only 17 miles from my house!! I drive up to 200 miles every other saturday just to lift at a PL gym back home.
You dont need to go to Westside just to get some good coaching. Some of the strongest gyms are in Florida: Ironworks, Orlando barbell, Team Samson, and Tampa Bay Barbell are just a few.

If I had a car, I would do that.

But I got no car and i cant ask my parents or older bro (who also lifts btw) to drive that far out of the way when their needs are met by a gym that is in walking distance.

Tell your parents that God has given you the gift of stregth and the sacrifice must be made for someone to drive you to this gym in order to make the most of this gift. It is a sin not to accept the gifts God has given you, right?

I was stretching with that one, but it sounds like your parents are very pious, so using something along those lines might actually get them to consider making the trek a few times per week. good luck.

I dont compete, not that i dont want to but I cant do anything on saturdays and there are no meets other than saturday...

I did a gym meet and did 600 335 600, missed 620 squat (no wraps) missed 365 bench, couldnt go back down. And I was so tired and hungry I just did 600 on deadlift.

Hi Leeman you have Very good Potential in Powerlifting 675 raw squat at 16 and that was deep 635 lb deadlift and 315 bench for 9 which would make your max around 400-405 lbs.You are very strong for your age i am and up and coming powerlifter also but i was no where as strong as you are for your age. God has given you that stregnth plain and simple. So i hope you honor and thank him for it. As much as i would love to see you compete if all the meets are on saturday then i see where your parents are coming from Saturday is the Sabbath and your parents just want you to come into the knowledge of god at a Early age. Going to church and honoring God is far more important than competing. But i hope you can find a meet on a regular day I know Powerlifting watch Has a list of upcoming meets stay strong bro GodBless.

OK I just watched this video for the first time. Impressive strength. I know I compete mainly in the bench but I am going to point out a few things I noticed since I have been in the sport for @ 15 years I think I am qualified. First off 675 is no joke exspecially with just knee wraps and a belt. Squating out of a cage pulling pins is great if you don't have a mono lift. However in thsi video safety is a major issue. Get side spotters with that much weight things can go south real quick. Your a young kid with many years ahead of you in the gym. Don't ever disrespect the weight train safe and you will be in the game a lot longer injury free.

On to your training envirement. Definately a comercial gym. Your intesity is good! How ever with the coments the women in the back ground were making I can see you getting thrown out soon. So heres what you need to do. Next time they spout off when your getting jacked for a lift walk over to them smack em on the ass and tell them you are next. LOL!

Rob dont tell him to hit anyone, he is 16 he might do it because you said too! LOL

Great lifting but all jokes aside, Rob is right you have to do in with better spotting. Powerlifting is not a sprint, it is a marathon. The longer you can train without being injured the better your numbers will be. I like some of the guys travel 5 hours round trip each week to lift, if you have a local powerlifting gym take the bus there. I am sure that after training with the guys for a while someone will give you a ride (as long as you dont destroy anything).

I encourage you to compete also but remember that God and your family should come first. Alot of meets are 2-days and the 3-lift tends to be on sunday. You can also weigh in that morning since you will not have to cut to make your class. Contact
http://www.orlandobarbell.com/ Brian Schwab trains there and they may know of some meets that fit your schedule in your area!

Have fun and stay safe!

Yeah, Im gonna say your qualified to give me advice lol!

I dont have any spotters, and I cant trust anyone there to be honest. Asking them to spot me from the side is 100 times as dangerous as just asking to stay away from me.. I dont even ask them to spot me on bench, I have had kids jerk the weight off the rack and let the weight land right over top of my face. I have almost killed my self like that a few times.

Il try to train some compedant people to spot me.

As far as where I train, that was at school. And the coach is awesome, he will let me do more or less what ever I want in there. I go to a normal gym to tho, and they try to throw me out every other week for **** as simple as leaving weight on the bar...

Il be sure to slap anyone who gives me **** even Im training lol.
