View Full Version : Deadlift meet in two days. Final preparations?
So weight isn't an issue (I am registered for 220, I am currently 217 well overfed and hydrated, I don't care if I spill over into 242 even though I probably won't). How can I maximize my strength on Saturday afternoon? I have been taking full dose of ALN Results everyday for the last two weeks. My plan is to eat 5000+ calories(300+ protein) and drink 1-2 gallons / day. Last training session was last Saturday which was M.E. upper body. I feel pretty well rested and good to go, just curious if you guys had any last minute tips. I don't have to worry about any equipment issues - I'm going 100% raw - not even belt or wrist wraps.

Get some good quality sleep the next two nights and carb up?
just make sure you are hydrated and have plenty of good food in you the day before and morning of. Your strength is where it is going to be. There is nothing you can do at this point that will make your lift go up other than stimulants the day of, which if you aren't used to i wouldn't bother messing with.
Just have fun and hit some PRs!!
yea just watch ur diet, your very close to comp :p , gl

i typically do early weigh ins and right after, i goto a steak house and pig out. on actual meet day in the morning, i eat a bowl of oatmeal, 50g of whey, followed by a big breakfast at denny's. coffee is optional
