View Full Version : Who cheats 2x/week and cuts?

I'm on a STRICT cut. Probably as strict as you can be...Until I cheat on Friday night with my friends...

But...On Sunday Morning my mom always wants to get a bagel or some pancakes out with me. Usually I just talk my way out of it...but my question is would it make any difference? I want to try, but I also don't want to experiment with slowing my progress.

Where does she like to go for the bagel? If it's someplace like Panera, you might be out of luck. But it's a wafflehouse or a diner... could you just get (steak and) eggs instead?

Depending on your style of diet, 1 refeed/cheat a week probably isn't a big deal.

I have friday as my cheat day. After 6 days of mostly brown rice and tuna, I need to eat some real food.

A bagel? Pancakes?

You might accidentally take in 200-300 calories more than in your scheduled meal.

I think you'll be ok if you do that.

Eggs Benedict is probably a good option, protein, carbs, fat. It's all there and not in whopping amounts.

Otherwise scrambled eggs, fruit and some kind of meat? Usually breakfast places serve up Oatmeal even when it's not on the menu.

Just ask for a bunch of eggs. It's not on the menu, but you know they have them and I doubt they would refuse.

The strictest cut there is would be a by the book PSMF. That plan allows for 2 refeeds, 2 cheat meals, or 1 of each every 7-10 days depending on your category. Your thing won't be affected in any measurable way.
