i've only got to toss ten lbs to make 242's and get out of the 275 class. My sole purpose has always been to be a big bastard and screw dieting. But not it's a smart move to diet down since no matter what i do I can't stay CONSISTENLY in the 260 and always float down to the low 250's. I've only got to cut 10lbs down and have carb cycled before but it's been forever.. I've been going no carb save on my workout days when i eat carbs before and immediately after workouts but then right back on it... smart idea? I want to cut without scarficing strength and recovery.

If you're struggling to keep your weight up, why would you want to diet? If your goal is to be big, then why diet? Gaining weight is hard work. Much harder than losing it.

Cut your Carbs out after 1pm and just eat clean 10 pounds will fall off ya.

Meals 1 thru 3 moderate carbs
Meals 4 thru 6 no carbs

Light Cardio 3-4 times per week just get your HR up into 130's and then bring it down. Dont do more then 20 minutes. This worked for me :)

At that weight, you could easily drop 10-12 lbs of water in the last few days before your meet. Then you can bloat back up to 252+. Is this not something you are interested in?

If you do decide to drop weight, I think the best way is to do it very slowly. If you lose it in big chunks, you will notice a more drastic drop in strength IMO.

I will work with Wicked and we will see what we can do.

I am currently so overloaded it is not funny. That said, I help when I can.

As Chris Rogers said before, it's pretty easy to drop only 10-12 pounds of water weight within the last week leading up to the meet, and put most of it back on with a 24-hour weigh in with no loss of strength. It really revolves around increasing sodium and water intake early in that last week and then cutting it around 24 hours out. Not sure if there are any older posts here regarding this, but I can point you to some other places if you can't find anything detailing this. Sam Byrd had some excellent posts on this at another place.

I know a thing or two about cutting weight and 10lbs is a cake walk. Basically all you need to do is cut out sodium and do some water manipulation to drop the weight.
