Ok, let me start by saying I did a search. So has anyone had trouble with the accuracy or is it pretty on? I had a sandwich on a pita today and looked up the pita and it said over 200 calories for 100% whole grain pita but the bag says 60 cal's. Anyway does 1500 calories sound good for trying to lose weight?

I don't know. I made an excel sheet that calculates my calories. I tried fitday for about 5 minutes, then got frustrated and gave up.

Why are you trying to lose weight when you are 150lbs?

i eat more calories than that a day and i lost weight. i am only 5'2, 118lbs (and also a girl). last time i figured it out i ate like 1700 on a workout day and like 1500 on a nonworkout day. of course, i figured it out on fitday, so according to you i might have actually been eating less calories. just eat really clean food. i stopped enjoying eating a while ago...

Go with what's written on the bag. Always.
1500 calories will probably result in weight loss, but I can' understand why you would want to do that at 5'7" 150 lbs. You're probably better off to gain muscle and keep the same bodyfat percentage. But to each their own.

*sigh* is pack is not the end all. If you 15 lbs of muscle with very little fat, your bodyfat goes down. Seriously, you'll look anorexic if you lose weight at your (and my) size.

so your saying I shold keep the gut and just lift heavy??? And your saying that with my type of build I couldnt tone my stomach and also build muscle?? That would suck if Im understanding this right.

Am I wrong in thinking that cuting would be the only way to create shaped abs? I know you said its not the most important thing but if I dont like how skinny I am everywhere else I guess I could just go back to the way I am now.

how long have you been working out'? its a good possibility even IF you decided to cut you wouldnt have much ab muscle to show. I'd just keep lifting for a while, while eating at maintenance or whatever.

i agree with redspikeythingy . ....

same thing happened to me, and i'm a bigger guy than you. i cut too soon and i got great results and all but i just looked flat because i hadn't developed enough muscle in the first place.

Yeah, some of the food on fit day is inaccurate. The fruits and veggies and most natural foods are exact but prepared foods are a gamble.... You're going to have to enter in some of your custom food manually off of the nutrition label to achieve accurate results...

You have a gut on you, but nothing major.... for your size I'd want to gain weight.

I have a hard time believing your gut is that big at 5'7 weighing 150 pounds. My brother weighs 160 pounds and he's shorter but looks like a rail.

if your gut is that distended i would go and see an allergist to see if you dont have a food intolerance

apart from that, lift weights, do cardio and in time you shall have a physique you will be proud of

Good luck
