Flat Iron Beef Chuck (steak)

Smiths in my area has been carrying these little gems for a while now. My dad first introduced me to them a while back and at first I was resistant, and now, thats my sunday dinner (some times friday as well).

Here is a short article (http://bbq.about.com/od/steaks/a/aa051207a.htm?nl=1) about this new cut of meat...give it a try if you see it...make sure to use the rub (or your preferred rub) that they suggest on the package..any bbq/smokey flavored rub should suffice.

All cuts of beef have been for around for a few hundred years, just a new name for another old cut. Honestly stay away from these kind of steaks for grilling/fry, keep them for the casserole.
