Well I've been lifting on and off for about a year and a half and this is what I have to show for it.

Well, it's a pretty crappy photo. Strong abs and chest. Arms and shoulders seem to be lagging from what I can make out on this photo.

How tall are you? Probably time to go on a bulk.

lol, I think its funny that so many people on this board see someone with abs and say "you need to bulk".

You look great. You must have some great genetics for looking like that by only lifting on and off the past year. Stay consistent, eat clean, and slowly put on muscle. No need to rush anything with how lean you are.

Him having abs has nothing to do with it being time for him to bulk. How else are you supposed to fill in the rest of your body and gain muscle size if you're not eating in excess?

Not bad, but can't make full judgment without back or leg shots. How tall are you?

The whole "needing to bulk" thing is getting tired.

You look good (crappy photo), but if I were you, I would eat maintainance and just lift. If I were you that's what I'd do, dieting blows.

Yea man I could never diet lol. All my friends make fun of me because I eat so much they say that if I ever stopped working out I'd get really fat. I want to slowly put on weight and stay lean till I get about 205. 50 Cent is a good example of what I want to look like. That's a longggg ways away though.

5'10" @ 155-160? Not to take away from your progress, because your midsection is looking good but you must have some scrawny legs and back. I'm getting tiny at 215 standing only 2" taller then you.

haha that is pretty thin... i would post up my same height/weight photo but I rather not look back at those skinny times. Heck, im still skinny and weight a good 40 pounds more.

Yea, I'm going to start bulking soon. I also am starting a new workout routine tomorrow and I'm only going to be lifting 3 times a week and I'm used to lifting 7 times a week so it's going to be a huge difference for me.

You look great. It's hard to believe you only weigh 160. I didn't look like that at 160. Or 180. Or 200.

You sure you got that weight right? Lol.

yea, it's not like we are on 'wanna be big' or anything.

5'10 and 160 is a stick. Im 5'10 @ 215 w/ similar bf% and not very big.

agreed, you have to have stick legs and back to be your height and weight and with the mass you have up top.

i just am not as big as I thought I would be at this weight. Ive begun bulking again... hoping for 220-230ish @ about 10% with big 3 over 1200

(but maybe I have a delusional body image)

Yea dude my legs are only 22". I just started working them like 2 months ago though and I am making pretty good strength gains. My back I recently just started working on as well.

well keep it up. i think most people, as they start, focus on the beach muscles.

but now, i am obsessed with training legs and back.

I agree, though that will play to your disadvantage when your legs and/or back start growing uncontrollably.

Now, I enjoy lifting back, but it overpowers everything else on my body so I am forced to keep it to a minimum as to allow everything to catchup...

Oh right, I forgot, this is "wannabebig." You need to gain weight forever and never be pleased with your body.

160 is child's play...

Good progress. Now do a slow bulk! And show us a better picture.

Damn you're a tool. If dieting is too much for you to handle, find a new hobby. Maybe knitting.

To the OP: Good to hear you're doing legs/back now. Keep it up, looks like you have the genetics/diet/training (or at least 2 of those 3) to make gains, good luck.

Your right: "wannabebig knitter." TE KEWL. Knitting's for pusies man... I'm raw.

I would slow, clean bulk or maintenance, and just make gains...
