Aside from eating cottage cheese or drinking a glass of milk before bed, would it be a bad idea to eat lets say...close to 600 calories before going to bed? I know this may sound like a stupid question but I ask this because sometimes cottage cheese isnt enough for me and i end up eating close to 500-600 calories before bed. I am bulking up right now, but won't most of what im eating before bed just digest into fat?

IM sure you will be fine, I would avoid carbs, or simple ones at least.

agreed i take in at least 400 calories mostly from fat and protein even if i am trying to lean up.

maybe make your glass of milk smaller when you try to cut a bit but while bulking live it up with good clean calories

No, that's a myth. You actually want calories before bed, preferably from protein and fat. I usually have a shake that's around a thousand calories right before bed.

i had a bowl of cereal with some nice cold milk and a cut up banana before bed... im losing fat just fine.

If you are at a caloric deficit you will lose weight. If you are at a caloric surplus and lifting properly you will gain mostly muscle weight. I typically have a protein shake right before bed and have been succesfully cutting for a few months now.

if you're not trying to gain weight on a large scale.. some high protien low fat low carb snackage should be fine.

if you want to put on the weight.. eat a good meal right before bed or take down a serving of ALN's maximus! Alot easier than cooking and tastes better than most of what I can make anyway HAHA! Not ot mention it's LOADED with all kinds of quality ingredients.

if you're scared to eat before bed.. don't eat say 2-3 hours before and you won't have any problems.. but most of your rebuilding happens when you're sleeping.

I dont think I could bring myself not to eat before bed. If I dont I sometimes wake up and actually feel like I could go for a snack. Eat away!

Bulking up? You're good, bro. Especially if you workout at night anyway.


Quality cals and lower carbs preferably.

I'm not professional but I think it is ok as long as you eat moderately. Also stay away from white stuff means carbo.

No,This is the bad idea.Your body slows down when you sleep, and completely relaxes.Eating before you go to bed is not recommended. It is because all of your organism's functions slow down during sleep, including digestion.You should go night walk before go to bed.
