I am 5'9" and I weigh appx. 180 pounds. I'm bottom heavy, I carry my weight in my hips and thighs more than my chest. I enjoy running and I am learning about weights. I'm going to keep a log here for my workouts and maybe meals.

Tracking on fitday is an excellent idea. I used to think I had a good idea of what i was eating, but until I started measuring and using fitday I had a very poor idea.

One other piece of advice is not to try and do this too fast, it's not a race. Take your time and don't expect big changes right away, that way you don't get disgusted.
