I got a new car project

Just sealed the deal on a 1965 Fastback Mustang. Pretty sick car. This will be my third project car in a little less than two years. I got my first, a 1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite during my Junior year. Had my '67 cougar up until a few weeks before I graduated and now I just bought this '65 Mustang Fastback. Its a pretty sick car. Its in pretty good shape for never having any work done on it before. Its all untouched. I'll get some pictures up after I trailer the car home later today.

Detard - I love fastbacks too. I've always wanted one. They can be a little pricey, but thats cause everyone wants one. I know of this '69 Mustang Mach 1 just sitting in a yard In pretty decent shape. Would make a nice project. I'm gonna be going by and asking about that one as well. Heres a pic of that '69. Theres tons of cars just sitting around out here. I could post pictures all day long of cars I've come across. I know of 3 1968 Chargers as well.

I know a dude in Denver that decided instead of buying a new car, he's going to build a FFR GTM Supercar (http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffrkits/GTM/GTMkit.html) built on a Corvette Z06 motor, tranny, and suspension.

The original paint is pretty decent for being 43 years old. This thing is so straight. I haven't found a single ding on this thing. Its rust free too. It really doesn't need much body work at all. The engine will turn over, we just need take out the tank, drain it and clean it out. With some tuning and some brake work it should run/drive. The goal is to have it running/driving by saturday night for the weekly cruise in car show.

Looks pretty straight. Good luck with cleaning the gas tank. I'm sure you know, but check the lines, fuel filter, carb jets, etc.

**** thats a nice car dude. My dad had a 69 fastback when he was a teenager. Right now we have a 66 jaguar E-type in the garage. Almost fully restored. We bought it at 18 grand, got it appraised, and they said its worth well over 30, maybe even into 40k. It's amazing what can be done with a little elbow grease and some determination.

I'd say you paid around 12 grand for that car?

wow...I just sold my 67 last year...though it was a coupe, and in no where near the condition yours is. GL with it and take care of her!
