i have started my 2nd year of weightlifting and in those 2 years i have improved my strength and health by a lot. my friend says that i should start taking some supplements but nothing hardcore like creatine yet. he said to take some protein. my questions are, any suggestions on any protein supplements i should take and when should i take it. i ride my bike 5 miles home from summer weights to improve my leg muscles so should i do while i ride or when i get home.

p.s. this thread type of thread has probably been posted a lot but i would really appreciate it if you could help out. thanks!

Creatine isn't hardcore - it's found in food.

Top 3 Supps IMO are a multivitamin, creatine and a simple protein powder when my protein is lagging or post workout.

AtLarge sells all three affordably.

YEP! coudln't agree more! If you've got a solid diet..i'd actually recommend ALN's RESULTS before getting a protien supplement. Most people that are using it are seeing pr's within a couple weeks of taking it and are feeling it almost immediately when it comes to how you feel both during your workout and in general. Good stuff!

Gotta second the RESULTS as a staple in any supplement regimen! I also enjoy the Opticen because it is hard for me to get so many meals in each day.

Multi's, EFA's, and something for energy is all I take past that.
