everything i read tells me i need x amount of slow digesting carbs and x amount of protein before my workouts......my food options are pretty limited right now so i was wondering if i could just kill two birds with one stone and throw a few egg yolks into my protein shake?

if not, what are some other fairly common things that would work well as slow digesting carbs for pre workout?

pb and J, if u want something easy, maybe with a scoop of a blend in some milk if u want to get more protein

but i eat full meals about 2 hrs before I lift, so I go specific, usually rice, veggies and chicken/tuna, or there abouts

For what it is worth...I read that raw eggs were not good b/c of health concerns. You may want to research that, I believe I read it in a popular muscle/fitness magazine.

i wouldn't worry - when is the last time you heard about someone getting sick from raw eggs? plus bb's have been doing it for decades
