Hi im reletivley new been lifting around 5 months put on about
6 kg im 16 , 5 "11 , havent tried any supplements soo far , im gonna get some whey though. But ive heard things about dextrose , ive searched a little , but can anyone tell me what it actually is and how it will help me?

Basically, it's sugar.

Buy it in bulk at a home-brew store.

It's also good for after workouts to get your insulin to spike which blocks cortisol. I'm sure someone could correct or expand on that because I really don't know the science behind it.

it will give you more energy, but not in the way you think - its not caffeine - it does not speed up your heart rate and make you more alert - it simply gives your body something to use as fuel - and the insulin spike - which is quite anabolic - is a nice side effect and desirieable post WO
