View Full Version : Deceptive Symmetry
Because I have not been blessed with a tiny waist, would it be logical to say in order to make it appear smaller, I would need to have larger delts and upper lats?
I guess it was that stupid of a question? :(

I know that is what the male bodybuilders do, so I guess that is what the women do too. Is it your waist or your hips if you don't mind me asking? Because if it's your waist I would think you could trim it down a little easier.
I have a narrow waist/hip ratio..and even when i was 90 lbs my waist never got smaller than 24....short waisted and big ribs.
Right now my waist is 26 and hips are 30", shoulders were 15" the last I measured, but that was before cemm tried to kill me with his shoulder workout :)

Kat, your waist is 26" and you're saying that it's not tiny! Geez, some people are ungrateful.....I'd kill to have a 26" waist. :)
Yeah, but w8lifter hun, you aren't 4'11" either! 26" isnt exceptionally small for my size...I look like a stick with thighs :D

Kat I have similar problems..I'm tiny on top ...even thou I have a long narrow waist...My bottom half is wider...I feel like a ketchup bottle in a red dress.. :)...I like the look my shoulder's and back have taken on...but GOD I do not want lats...it's hard to find the right symmetry...
I have continued my cardio and increased my weight lifting on my upper body....and I feel like it has made a difference..maybe it's just in my head...never know :p
Oh, I dont mind lats..bigger the better as far as Im concerned. I want big baseball shoulders and wing tipped lats :)

I feel your pain Kat! I'm 5'1" with a short waist and large ribcage. My waist is 27" around. Just keep doing the lat work and those nasty cable lateral raises for the shoulders. That should balance you out somewhat. That's what I do anyway.

Ahhh my little friend with the latin temper LOL...:D
Glad to know Im not the only squirt around here :)
