I'm interesting in getting a drag sled, can't decide on which one. I also need to pick up some plates, but that can be done anywhere. Opinions please.

If you can afford it I would get the prowler instead as it can be pushed, pulled, and drug. It's probably the best conditioning tool out there.

I could, but I was planning on keeping the sled in my car :-/. Trips down the park etc.

The econo version can be broken down into 2 pieces. Great tool.

Also, for a sled an old tire with an eyebolt through it works as well as anything.

Hmm, I have an old tire in the trunk as it is. It is missing the rim though. I just have the rubber.

The other nice thing is you don't need as much weight as the tire will bite into the pavement.

I backed the eyebolt with a piece of wood on the inside of the tire to make sure it didn't pull through.

The rubber is all you need man, no need for the rim. just stick a board in the bottom so the weights don't fall and you will be good. Like Ben said, you don't need a lot of weight at all, plus it won't piss off the neighbors as you can do it just about anytime without making too much noise.

I'd go with the one from EFS just because their customer service is great.
