I am trying to gain weight so I am trying to meet (or pass) the standards given in an AtLarge article.
For Young Adults:
ages 15 to 25
25 calories per pound of body weight.
For my current weight this is 4062.5 calories per day.
And a split of
32% protein/40% carbohydrates/28%fats
I organized all of today's eating and found that today I ate:
4026 calories
which is close
but 14% protein/33% carbohydrates/53% fats
I'd assume this is the major problem right?
But I'd also have to say today was filled with some odd circumstances.
Because although I try to avoid places like Mcdonalds, it somehow became breakfast this morning. I also went out for dinner and I usually eat healthier when at home.
Still no excuse for those percentages.
So I plan on trying to follow this article to a degree and hopefully gaining some good weight.
Just looking for any comments because I have never really taken this close of a look at my diet before.
But a recent cholesterol comment from my doctor ( at the age of 15! ) opened my eyes that physical activity is alone not enough to keep my heart healthy.
