What are some good places/things to do with girls during the summer?
Some of the things I thought of:
go to a museum
go biking
kayaking
picnic
day road trip
swimming
walking around downtown

Congratulations... this is the 1 millionth post about date ideas on this site!!! You didn't win anything though, so don't get your hopes up.
On a bit more of a serious note, the date idea depends a lot on the girl and your intentions. Just avoid the plane jane beat to death stuff at first, ingenuity is a good thing just don't go like bezerk and make meat helmets with her or something.

naa, a nice stroll around the woods is always relaxing, or a walk in the mountains/ a place with good views.

rockclimbing
rooftop parties
booze cruises at night
there's a spot in NYC called Johnny Utah's it's great, it is one of the two places in the city that has a mechanical bull inside, it's a restaurant bar, awesome entertainment (not sure if falls into summer category, but great on mondays ;))

To each their own, you've got to know her personality before having a good idea as to where to go and/or what to do on a date. The jetskiing, waterparks sound like a good first date. You can see if she's got a good body and if not, it'll save you the time in wondering whether you'll waste money on a second date, seriously.
