Has anybody used an altered bp shirt with a larger chest plate, but tighter arms?

I read on another forum that the Japanese used larger chest plates, but tighter arms. Also, they dominated this year IPF World BP Championship too.

Thanks a lot,

Typically I order my shirts with a tad larger chest plate which helps me touch better. I'm getting the arms alot tighter in this next shirt though. better lockout and speed

dont get it to big other wise you'll have zero power of the chest.

That sounds like a great plan to a bigger chest plate, but tighter arms. I'm thinking about getting a single-ply Rage X altered this way. I'm curious to see what the results will be.

Thanks a lot for your input:thumbup:

I'll use the same size shirt I bench press 556 this past weekend, but with smaller arms.

Thanks a lot:thumbup:

let me know how it goes. most of my experience is with the double ply shirts, not single ply so I'm curious how it'd work with single ply

JT you can also have the collar lowered on the single when making the chest plate bigger. it'll able you to pull it down more and get plenty more out the shirt. this is how frank caminita has his singles. he has a wabdl 661 at 198. also make sure the arm pits are completely set in like a under armour shirt.

thats a good suggestion. ask for a scooped collar. Can they reinforce a single ply collar? Meaning is it still a legal shirt if its reinforced? If its legal, get a reinforced collar

I usually get a chest plate 1/2 inch bigger on an opener shirt than my second or third attempt shirts.
It makes it easier to touch.

The japanese are masters at the arch. Why do you think they came up with the butt rule?
The japanese can bend themselves in half. So, they dont need much off the chest. They need
good tricep support. That is why the arm tubes are so tight on these cats.

Look up Isagawa or Fukishima. You will see what I mean. Also they dominate due to filling all of the
weight classes, not just the classes 165 and above. They only count the top 6 placers as point getters.
So, if you add the super light guys and then add Midote that is a good combination for success.

Frank is a good lifter and a good cat. Even though he is 0-1. lol

For now, I'm going to use the same shirt that I feel comfortable in. After I use this new shirt, I'll determine what I need to make it even better. Next time, I'll try one with a lowered collar.

Any shirt that has been altered to add support is illegal in NASA.

I haven seen their arches:omg:

I can't arch because it cramps my lower back and I like the support of my lower back on the bench.
