View Full Version : Please critic my diet

Hi all,

I have been training for just over two months now and have made some really good improvements with my shape and i'm very happy with the ways things are going at the moment.

The problem (if it is a problem) is that I am kinda staying the same weight but I'm putting the inches on. I've been told that this is a very good thing as my definition is really showing through.

I use n-large2 after each workout as recommended by many, but I don't seem to be bulking. I sometimes weigh myself and I weigh about 194 in the nights but then in the morning or when I get home from work the following day its back to about 185 and this happens most days. I am definitely getting good results somewhere wether it be the training, diet or both but i'm stucking to about 185 -/+ and would love to gain some more.

I know its probably my diet thats not allowing me to bulk so here is what I have each day and please be frank, I know my diet is terrible.

06:30am
Bowl multi-fibre cerial with glucose
1 Multi-Vit and multi-vit drink

07:15am
Workout followed by 4 scoops of n-large 2

09:15am
Two bread rolls with a slice of bacon in each and one egg.

12:30am
Four bread rolls with 2 packs x 10 turkey slices (2gm fat per pack)
1 bowl of kiwi fruit, mixed mellons

03:30pm
Bowl of Pasta mixed with half tin of tuna

05:15pm
Steak & Jacket potato

08:00pm
Banana, apple and another bowl of cerial.

09:00pm
Bed

I also drink up to 5 ltrs of water each day.

Can anyone please help!!

How many calories is that?

I'm really not sure as I have regrettably not been counting. I will count everything tomorrow and post the result here.

*Lose this meal. Have a Tuna Sandwich instead.

12:30am

* Processed food is garbage ... loaded with salt too. Too much bread is bad too especially white bread. Have some brown rice here with some a chicken breast of Turkey Steak.

03:30pm
Bowl of Pasta mixed with half tin of tuna

* fine. Make it a full tin tho.

05:15pm
Steak & Jacket potato

* Excellent. It's a little close to the last meal tho.

08:00pm
Banana, apple and another bowl of cerial.

* lose the cerial and have 5 egg whites, and a glass of milk instead.

09:00pm
Bed

You Diet starts off pretty bad and gets better. You could do with some fats in there. Get some Flax Oil and NATURAL Peanut butter (ingridient is only peanuts). Some Olive Oil is good too.

Some good sources :-

Carbs :-

Brown Rice, Oats, Pasta, Potatos, Fruit, Veg

Protein :-

Eggs, Turkey, Cottage Cheese, Milk, Steak, Chicken.

Fats :-

Olive Oil, Flax Seed Oil, Peanuts.

Thanks for your reply YatesNightBlade, I have changed my daily diet now to included your suggestions so I hope this looks a little better:

I have also changed the time I do my workout also from the morning to after work. The Gym I use in work is very, very limited and I have now bought myself some equipement for home which is of greater benefit and I can do a lot more with it.

I'm very happy with my training at the moment as I am getting some really good results apart from the weight staying the same. I'm looking good, but want to be looking even bigger and better (Suppose that comments pretty generic with most bodybuilders :D)


Ok, here is my new diet and plan:

07:45am
Bowl multi-fibre cerial with glucose
1 Multi-Vit and multi-vit drink

09:15am
Tuna sandwich

12:30am
Brownrice with 200g of lean chicken
Bannana or Apple

03:30pm
Bowl of Pasta mixed with full tin of tuna

05:15pm
Steak & Jacket potato

06:30pm
Workout followed by 4 scoops of n-large 2 @ 6:30

09:00pm
5 egg whites and a glass of milk

10:30pm
bed

I hope i'm going to put a bit of weight on now :P If there is anything else I should be doing or eating, please stop me and tell me.

The only thing I am worried about at the moment is how much calories I will be consuming, will it be enough. Not sure what my intake would be for 6'1" and 188lbs, gonna have to check.

add some olive oil into some of your meals. That will bump up those cals.

But it looks good now.

:) Yates it is. I've started today with the new diet. I've stocked up on the olive oil, brown rice & eggs. All is good so far.

Not to sure how i'm gonna react when it comes to stomaching all those raw egg whites later though!!
