I have a question. Lets say Im doing some exercise(curls,triep extension,bench or what ever) for example and I do 160lbs x10 for 4 sets or somthing. after i am done with my workout I dont feel sore or "the burn" it feels like im doing nothing. I make sure I pick a weight which Isnt eayse and try and use the best form I can. I am I still getting a good workout although im not tired/sore?

use the search man. there are at least 3 of these posts a day on this forum. soreness is NOT a predictor of a good workout. ie you can not be sore and have had a good workout, or vice versa...

Load up 200 lbs and then drop it on your chest for 4 sets of 4-8, maybe that'll do the trick about the sore thing.






Lol, I'm just playin', soreness is not an indicator of gains. I'd use to think the same way as you did but after 3 years of lifting I've definately noticed that I've had great gains even without getting sore. I've also read somewhere in this forum that soreness could actually sometimes be from poor recovery.
