So today was arm day and for some reason I was extra hungry and all I could conjure up after my shake was...

2 packages of ramen noodles (did not use the seasoning packets of salt)
2 filets of Gorton's fish

I put all of that together and came up with:
980 cals
28 total fat
12 saturated fat
0 trans fat
64 carbs
50 gram protein
600 mg sodium

Is this considered an acceptable meal for someone who wants to keep/add on size and stay in good cardiovascular shape at the same time?

My BP was last read at 128/70 and pulse was 67 beats per minute. Are these good numbers?

your blood pressure is getting a bit high... and your pulse as well. You are probably at the upper end of average, but this can be due to many factors.

what kind of pasta is a good substitute for the trash ramen carbs?

whole wheat pasta should be okay.

I would ditch the filet o' fish and get either tuna or some fresh fish instead.

you could try Atlarge's Maximus or Opticen. Both are great meal replacement supplements.

Oatmeal = glucose chains
Dextrose = glucose molecules

Oatmeal is a longer-lasting source of carbohydrates than dextrose. Go with whole grain breads and pastas, which are more similar to oatmeal. If you're looking for something to put into a shake, try waxy maize. You can get it at:

(don't mind the product description...it's inaccurate.)

If you don't like peanut butter, don't worry about it. If you're getting good fats from other dietary sources (olive oil and almonds are two good ones), it's all good.

I don't know a whole lot about diet, but that meal doesn't look bad at all to me. What do you think is wrong with it, OP?
