View Full Version : Quick Home Gym Power Rack Question

Looking for a reasonably priced power rack for a home gym rated at least 600/700lbs......any ideas?
I'm in the UK by the way, can't find much other than pullum-sports.co.uk, though their racks are pretty damn expensive.
Any info appreciated.

I have the powertec rack- we've had a little over 600 on it with no problems. If money was no object I'd get something bigger and more awesome, but this one was maybe $350 shipped and has served me extremely well.

i had a butchers at the Powertec one, it's £320 over here plus delivery...bloody rip off UK. and that'll handle rack pulls from the safety bars with 600lbs? needless to say when i rest the bar back i dont pansy about with it, i dont drop it but it goes down quite quickly at the end of a set
how about the hooks to hold the bar when benching in the rack for example...how much weight have you had on them?
sorry to be a pain in the ass but i dont wanna buy one and have the b*stard bend on me,lol

If I recall correctly the spotter bars/hooks are rated to 1500 pounds, but it might have only been 1000. Either way I think you'd be fine with it (there are a lot of other dudes here who have this rack), but that is damn expensive...
