I finally bought cottage cheese for the first time..but im not a huge fan of the taste of it when eating it straight

I throw some in my protein shakes but what good solid foods can I eat with it at night that tastes good?

Thanks

cheese in general is sorta blah by itself, but is great when mixed with other flavors.
Ever just take some cheddar cheese and eat it? It's not bad, but put it over a potato or on some nachos, and wham, good stuff.
LOL, parmesan or mozzarella is blah by itself, but put it on some meat sauce or garlic bread or a pizza, and you have a marriage made in heaven.

Yeah, cottage cheese is different than those, and I actually don't mind it plain, but it just seems to work better when complimented by other flavors.

I think there is a big long cottage cheese thread on here. Do a search, you'll get lots of ideas.

I throw in some splenda, cinnamon, and vanilla extract for flavor. Check out the recipes forum, it has a lot of good info there.

I usually make mine with tuna, garlic powder, some almonds and a tiny bit of A1 steak sauce. Sounds disgusting, but it's not too bad.

If I'm in the mood for something salty/sweet I add some chopped up bananas and a tablespoon or two of natty pb. Deeeelish.

why not eat some other form of protein... there is no magic in cottage cheese that makes it superior then something else youd probably enjoy the taste of.

I like to mix it up with some chocolate protein powder and natural peanut butter. Tastes like a dessert to me :)

It actually tastes pretty good with pepper sprinkled on.

Wow, nobody said peanut butter. I like that combo, especially before bed.

Or, mix your whey (I like vanilla), cottage cheese (1/2 cup), milk (1 cup), fat free vanilla pudding mix (half packet) and peanut butter (1Tbsp) in a blender with a little ice. Blend. Stick in freezer for about an hour. Presto! Protein ice cream. Eat with a spoon. Good before bed.

I mix my cottage cheese with a puke bucket because it is the disgusting and the texture is worse. If you don't enjoy eating it there are tons of alternatives. Just my 2 cents.

I love it plain, but sometimes I'll put pepper or berries in it to mix things up a bit.
