Thought it wouild be good to have a goals thread so that we can see what everyone is shooting for. It would also be a place for those of us that need to put things in writing in order to achieve them. Here's mine:

Squat - 950

Bench - 600

Deadlift - 725

Total - 2275

Win a major meet.

Pick up a gear sponsor. This stuff's expensive, haha.

My goals:

Squat: 800

Bench: 525

Deadlift: 600

Get back into major competition prep. With multiple injuries Ive been out of the game too long. Im also hearing the strong call of the darkside.

Also I want to try out for the local arena league football team, not to play, but to see if I still have it.

Ben, you might as well make bigger goals since you'll probably hit those at your next meet haha!

I'd like to hit 700 in August at the ProAm

somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 before the end of the year.

Keep getting stronger.

I'm still such a new guy at this gear though I have to be a bit conservative.

Goals:

Squat - 500 equip.

Bench - 275 raw (300+ equip.)

Deadlift - 480 equip

Bodyweight - 220

I know I have alot of work to do, but I am long overdue for some new 1 rep max attempts. I think right now, i'm good for a 415 squat, and a 430 deadlift. I dont even know about my bench:confused:. I also think that as I keep gaining weight, these goals will become more and more of a reality. Time to go eat. :p

600 in current gear (briefs/belt/wraps) squat
375 no shirt bench
625 belt only DL.

Near term goals:

Squat - 450 raw, 550 equip

Bench - 335 raw, 450 equip

Dead - 600 equip

Get rid of this ****ing shoulder problem and start lifting again. :mad:

I'd really like to kick ass at next years nationals and set a few junior records, and also start getting into multi-ply gear.

clean up my diet and add an honest 50lbs to every one of my raw lifts, minimum. With gear, it's hard to say.

1) Bench - 315
2) Squat - 315+
3) Dead - 315+
4) Find guys around my area to lift with so I can improve my forms, I'm a noob to all this.

End of 2008 Goals:

Stay major injury free
raw - Squat 540, BP 405, DL 550 = total 1495
top 10 placing - Masters Nationals NAS Strongman (Oct. 12th)

End of 2009 Goals:

Again to stay major injury free
Move down to 220
raw - Sq 590, BP 425, DL 605 = total 1620
top 5 placing - Masters Nationals - NAS Strongman

Goals by end of '08...
Get "comfortable" at 198 (push bodyweight to about 210 - 215 before dehydration).
Squat - Get an official 700 in a meet ; 750 either n meet or gym
Bench - 450 raw ; 650 shirt
Deadlift - officially get past 550 ; then start making a run at 600.
Total - Make elite in my 2nd weight class (1780+ @ 198)
