What're your favourite lifts with the ssb? I just got one, so I'm gonna try it out tomorow. Give me some ideas! I'm thinking box squats and chain suspended GMs:ninja:

Those are two of the best.

Probably the dumbest thing I ever did with it was do rack pulls against bands with the SSB on my back. I think my spine shot out of my back. I did like doing regular deadlifts off the floor with the SSB on my back. You have to stay very upright or it wants to fly over your head.


PS- those movements are not safe. If you do them and something bad happens, you didn't get it from me. :tuttut:

Wait a minute... so you are doing deadlifts, with another bar on your back? That's hardcore :D

Did you get this idea from somebody i never heard of that so you have 2 bars your lifting your deadlifting and have a ssb on your back is it just the bar or do you actually put weights on the bar like heavy weights or anything im just asking because i never heard of this method before.

Close stance squats off a box, suspended or regular good mornings, bottom start squats. Doesn't really matter, either way it will kick your ass.

Yea, basically one day back when I lifted in my basement I just tried it out. The first time I believe I kept the deadlift bar weight constant and added weight to the SSB each set. The next time I tried it I kept the weight on the SSB constant and then added weight to the deadlift bar each set.

I would unrack the SSB on my back like I was going to squat, but walkout forward towards the loaded DL bar on the floor. I would then proceed to do a normal deadlift. You have to stay extremely tight and you have to keep your chest up or that bar will send you flying forward. If you try this, be extremely careful on the negative because if you come down fast the momentum shoots you forward.

Alright thanx for explaining it to me I think it sounds a little dangerous though.I give you props for trying it thought it shows your dedication But a little to dangerous for me are you trying to get your deadlift up? or your dead and squat at the same time? i think in my opinion that it would be a lot safer just to stick to a basic peridozation program or a wsbb program just dont want to see you get hurt not tryna knock you or anything at all but this style of training seems a little dangerous

I said it wasn't the smartest thing. I get bored and try weird things in the gym. It's how I roll. :evillaugh:

In addition to various squatting & GM movements, I like to use the SSB for Zerchers.
