This is a meal I've eaten regularly since I was a child.Easy to make,cheap,and tons of protein and carbs.



1 lb of ground meat
1 lb of elbow macaroni
1 yellow onion
2 cans of beef gravy

-Chop and saute onion,add uncooked ground meat
-Brown ground meat,drain fat
-put onion/ground meat mix back in pan and add 2 cans of gravy.simmer low for about 10 min
-Boil macaroni until tender,drain.
-Add macaroni back into pot.Add beef/onion/gravy mix.
-thoroughly mix and serve in a bowl.Eat with large spoon.salt and pepper to taste

i love this stuff, my wife introduced me to it and it tastes amazing!

instead of beef gravy i use 1 can of campbells tomato and basil soup, add it to the beef while it is cooking

Its basically hamburger helper without all the processed stuff.But I eat that too of course.

I do believe this is something that I could cook when the wifey is out.

I'm mostly master of the grill (outside). Don't know if I'm even allowed to cook in the kitchen.

Any inside tips on canned gravy?

I use cheap store brand.But heinz makes a low fat version.My wife loves it.

My Mother used to make this but I believed she used tomato soup instead of gravy... I could be totally wrong though.

No your right.Its basically like beefaroni with red sauce.Both are considered Goolash.
