I go to the gym after work hours.
Right after the workout I eat a protein bar, some simple sugar, banana. Then it takes me atleast 1 hour to reach home. Then I start cooking while munching on some nuts and a whey drink.

Do you think 1 hour wait after the workout is bad? Or I shall make some alternate arrangements?

I wait an hour after I workout to take my post workout shake.

It would be much better to have a shake within 15 minutes or so of finishing your workout, or better yet, a protein shake prior to beginning your workout. Since even whey takes about an hour before the aminos start getting into your bloodstream, waiting until an hour after you've finsished lifting is a bad idea. I'm too lazy to go into much more detail right now. You can find plenty of info on this subject if you look around.

Yes I do take a whey shake one hour before working out.
