huge second on Derek. The guy is just about one of the strongest out there. What a big dude as well.

WV isn't too far of a drive for me. Might make it down there for at least a day or two

YES!!! i have complete faith in this man.

i would like to go, but i have a meet on the 13th, and wouldn't really want to do all that driving so close to a meet.

I called this right after he had his falling out with the IFSA. I see this being an AMAZING year for America between him and the Texas Stoneman, as well as former champion Phil Phister. I almost feel bad for Mariusz, but it's time people see that he is indeed human. Kevin Nee may also have a shot at the finals.

I'll be there. I won't have an at-large shirt and inzer sweats on since I don't plan my outfits that far in advance and I don't own an at-large shirt, but I won't be tough to find.

It will definitely be a war to see who stands on that podium this year...thats for sure. I think it will be Poland vs USA this year!!

PS...I am Polish and American....so its a win win for me :)

bump, anyone heard more about this. It looks like the prelims are 6-9th or 10 and finals that weekend, anyone suggest what days would be best if your only going for two days? Finals?

If you want to see all the competitors, then go to the qualifiers.

If you want to see only the final competitors, then go to the final event.

Where at in Charleston?

I have family down there and my cousin just emailed about this last night. He wanted to know if I was gonna be competing??? It gets me how sometimes people run all weightlifting right together. I've already told them a million times I'm a benchpresser, cause they always ask me if i've ever been on ESPN and tell me how they watch that all the time. Hahahahaha!!!!

I dont know about all that, my legs are weak and I got bum knees and a reconstructed ankle :(

It would be fun to try though, I would not mind entering an amatuer one just to see how I do. Hell who knows???

I began training for one a couple years ago and the endurance crap is what turned me off. I hated the endurance stuff. Plus Wolfe, short guys like us have a real distinct disadvantage. Course with you at 240 you'd probably have alot more endurance than I do

I'm interested in seeing Brian Siders for some of those reasons. I'm sure he has the power to do well, but endurance is a big part of WSM.
