Surely if you keep your calories and protein at the levels they should be, is having a chacolate bar (250 cals) every other day or so that bad, in my opinion its not what are your views?

Having a cheat day every once in a while is quite healthy.
However, cheating every day, or every other day, is not going to help you any.
It's not the best choice for an everyother day thing, but if your calories and protein/carbohydrate/fat grams all work out correctly, I don't think it will make much of a difference. It'll give you sugar, fat, and basically unfavorable carbohydrate, but if everything adds up correctly and you're not using it as like, a preworkout snack, it should be ok.

I don't see anything wrong with that......it's 750 extra calories per week
wait a second, is this extra calories? or are these calories worked into the diet? That makes a huge difference.

Since the calories are mostly sugars and fats, I would call them 'trash'. If you are cutting, I'd stay away from teh trash completely. If you're bulking or even maintaining, then chocolate in reasonable amounts is acceptable.
I'd try to avoid it, if you like chocolate, mix a meal replacement with some sugar free chocolate pudding, much better than a candy bar imo.

I ate a large chocolate bar after training every time for 4 weeks straight. I've only recently just shook off the addiction.

I squirt a bit of hersheys syrup in my post workout creatine/protein shake. I figure I need a bit of sugar for the creatine so why not something I like. Bad idea ??

You ought to have fast carbs after a workout, that's why im eating some glucose tablets post-workout. So, a tiny chocolate bar is actually good after your workout.

its just the taste but, yesterday my prayers were answered with angel delight (UK) chocolate dessert mix with no added sugar, just add skim milk and it goes down a treat and my chocolate cravings are covered, bingo
