I am new to strength training and need a little help on a routine etc. I have my own personal gym at home because there is not gym within a one hour distance. I have a squat rack with smith machine, about 400 to 500 lbs of weight. I have standard bars, ez curl bar, hammer curl bars, dumbells, etc. So there is a limit on what I can do, but I still think I can gain some strength with heavy lifting.
This is the routine I am thinking of doing:
Monday: Heavy
Wednesday: Light
Friday: Medium
3x6-8
Squats, Bench Press, Deadlifts, Military Press
I am currently searching the site for information as well.

There are several routines in the articles section here. Also look through the Pro journals here. There are quite a few.
You might also check out the articles at elitefts.com or westside-barbell.com. Both are great sites and elite even has a logs and q&a section that is great to look through.
BTW, welcome!

Check out Starting Strength. It's a good simple routine that you can use to make a lot of progress while you're still new.
