So, what happens to any extra whey protein that the body doesn't use? Is it just pissed out or converted to fat? Just curious.

If it's not used to build muscle then it is broken down in to glucose. If it still isn't used then it is stored as fat. This process is longer then any other macronutrient giving protein its famous thermic effect. 200g of protein will burn more calories to digest then 200g of carbs or fats.
