for help with pulling conventionally...
why not do plyometric squats? not a FULL squat but squat down to right where ever you start your pull from and do plymetric squats in the cage to help train your lower body to really FIRE when you get set and explode out.
good idea? bad idea? i think it's worth trying...
I've seen that Louie has some plyo leg press, so I guess there is value, not sure more for squats/deads or other uses.

I have done and I know many others have done plyo jumps to improve explosiveness off the floor.
I was finally getting my dead over 600(pulled 622 in training) then I started having issues with my arm.
I know thats not great numbers, but its good for my little T-Rex arms. lol
like doing plyo jumps with ankle weights/medicine ball or weighted vests.
I also like doing banded box squats.
Pushing a hummer down an alley.
I have a young guy who just started pulling that can now jump on top of a rev hyper machine.
He pulled 501@165 at his first meet.

i do banded box squats..i'm going to start pulling the sled around from time to time,etc. BUT i'm talking about walking out a squat with a bar on your back loaded up.. squatting down about 1/3 of the way them jumping as high as you can.
