i think its good to eat before you go to bed because you dont eat for hours when you're sleeping

I always try to get some milk in my body before I sleep. A certain protein in milk tends to break down gradually giving you continuous protein throughout the night. I am sure there are many other foods with the same protein, but I like milk.
I will eat cereal mostly, or oatmeal with milk.

Oatmeal with milk? Hmm sounds delicious
But carbs are bad before bed right??

In the prescence of insuln GH production is blunted. This is why eating carbs too close to bed is not recommended.

This is all about goals. If your dieting, you wanna cut out food early and have a high protein/low carb meal last.If your bulking high protein/high carb at whatever time. And just in general,if your just hungry,I would say a small meal of any kind is fine.Remember, your not gonna be taking in food for a long period of time.

i dont think it matters,

If your bulking, eat lots of protien before bed. Sleeping is one of the most crucial times for your muscles to grow. That extra bit of protien will help. I've heard don't eat carbs within like 2 hours before you go to bed. Just to be on the safe side, I just stick with lots of protien and meats.

Eating carbs before bed is like getting a Magwi(SP?) wet. Bad things happen! :omg:
Always eat something before bed. You won't be having another meal for most likely 6-8+ hours. EAT!

Good ol cottage cheese. It contains caesin which will be absorbed slowly through the night. So I have read.
CCheese tastes great blended with a banana, p'butter and chocolate milk (you cant taste it nor feel the horrific texture of the CC).
Ever find that the later you eat the night before, the more hungry you feel in the morning?

CC + PB + Oats + Milk
when in doubt, eat more
