I'm starting college next year and I was wondering what job do you think could make me some decent money in the meantime?. I've graduated, I just haven't been really sure as what to do until recent. I've been doing tile replacement and that pays $600 a week for me but I was wondering if you guys would have any suggestions. I'd greatly appreciate it.

If you are getting paid 600 a week after taxes and you are working 40 hours or less that is an awesome college job.

Yeah seriously man. If that's 40 hours a week that's 15 bucks an hour. Maybe it's way different in my area, but that's one hell of a job for a college student. I'd consider anything over 10/hr great. But, then again, I live in ****ville Michigan.

yeah 600 after taxes isn't bad for a week. before taxes...ehh. tile replacement is a decent gig.

After taxes I make $350 a week, and I work 41/wk and I put in extra hours off the clock. I despise my job very, very much right now.

i would not be complaning with 600 a week.
But check out your university's enployment office, that will be your best bet for flexible hours.
Jobs i have had while at university where bartender, waiter, and mentaly handycap caregiver all where decent money.

Could try sales, although I'd say I work about 50-60 hours a week I made a killing.

Construction maybe, but factories are a big no. The best thing a college kid can do is seek work at a professional temp agency. They will help you find banking, office jobs that will pay almost double of any factory job. The nice things about office type jobs are you get to sit, stay clean and not waste energy that could be better used for the gym and school.

I guess it depends on where you are. Most temp jobs I had were in the 5.15-7 per hour range, and I was able to get on for a factory over the summer for 12 an hour.

factory and construction jobs are the way to go in this case. no BS with those jobs either.

UPS.
Part-time hours, full-time benefits. Full vision, medical and dental.
Was around $9 an hour when I worked there, 1993, so I am sure it's gone up.
