liquid chalk should be fine. no reason to get banned from your gym.

I used liquid chalk a couple of times at the local gym and had to spray a ton of it on repeatedly to get any type of grip. I used stickum spray a couple of times too, which seemed to work better for me (though, you get all the dirt from the bar on your hands for awhile).

Why not wear some football wide reciever gloves or something? You may look a little ridiculous but they would definitely work...

ive used it (liquid chalk) and it works just fine for grip. it dries out your hands pretty good though.

you could always hook grip half the time and use straps the other half.
Back when I trained at a commercial gym I used an Ecoball from Metolius. Not as good as chalk, but it does the trick just fine. It will leave a very slight residue but there's almost no dust and you can use it pretty much undetected.
Ben has some stuff that works real well, it looks liek glu and you only need a little drop and you just rub your hands together and it dries pretty quick. I've used the stuff that EFS sold and it took about 20-30 pumps and a long dry time before it really worked, but it still worked if it was absolutely necessary - better than nothing.
That is, until Sean broke it.
