i start soccer tomorrow at 8 AM and was wondering what i should eat. i usually wake up around 7:00 and am out the door by 7:40 to get their early so i can get in some extra stretching. we obviously warmup before it gets intense, but what should i eat to have enough energy, while at the same time avoiding cramps?

Hard-boiled eggs w/ a slice of toast or a bowl of cheerios. If I'm pressed for time I usually just down a quick whey shake though.

Oh yea, those too haha. Taste like **** though if you don't get a lot of food to wash the taste out when you burp and stuff.

I usually eat 2 bagels, 3 eggs and 1 fruit and orange juice. Just eat food with a lot of carbs.

And how did it work for you?

worked out well... i had enough energy and everything, and i've been running for the last 2 weeks (4 day break a week ago, but i did run a bit the last 3 days). however, i still get this sudden jolt of pain on the back of my leg a little under the kneecap (can't think of the name of the muscle). it hurts to the point where i can't run after a ball and make a tackle. anyone know how to fix this problem? maybe it's cuz i am a bit out of shape, but before the practice i drank a lot of water, had a fruit salad, along with a banana and a granola bar
