if youre going to drink, is it better to do it on off days or on? im going to guess its better to drink before you lift because maybe youll burn it off.. and you dont have to worry about the alcohol reducing your test when youre trying to recover. yay, nay?

You seriously think you'll be able to lift when intoxicated?
I don't think that alcohol is a good choice for preworkout calories.

If you were to drink period, I'd say before. After you lift, your body is using its energies to replenish nutrients and repair muscles, processes that probably arent performed at their peak if your body is under the influence of alcohol.

Why don't you drink on a cheat day or night and that morning make you body pay for the mistake that the mind made. That is what you are doing anyway by drinking period. But that is your choice.

I think you should drink a gallon or so of budweiser before your chest workout and maybe also your leg workout. Recent medical discoveries confirms that it has a very positive effect on muscle growth.

let me rephrase the question since nobody got it right..
if im eating anything grilled or mexican, i like a bottle of beer w/my food (sometimes two but not usually). i know this is in the neighborhood of ~180 empty calories so i try to keep it to a minimum. im talking about one or two drinks with dinner, not an all night binge.
if i do this, is it best to do it on days i do lift, or days i do not? i typically lift at 11pm so its the last thing i do for the day.
you want to get drunk before lifting.
I would like to see you squat while drunk.
NO. do not get drunk before lifting. it will decrease your energy levels, loose coordination, loose focus.
also alcohol dehydrates you whcih will furhter decrease perfomance.

It's fun :) But the weight seems a lot heavier then it really is...
