I collected a few of my DE bench videos from this summer and put them together to show the progression. I included a video of my current DE bench which is with bands and I've never either used this much weight or moved it this fast!
I will continue to seek and use Vin's advice for the future because he has helped me exponentially with my benching.

The two recent sets are exponentially faster than the first. The set with bands is real fast. Great progress, man.

Thanks guys! I think I'll go about 4 weeks with bands, 4 weeks straight weight and keep rotating it back and fourth like that. It seems (by looking at my videos at least) that my speed really responds better this way. I think one of the benefits of the straight weight is that its the same weigh throughout the entire movement. I knew my sets with the bands would be faster because I was all of a sudden using about 40lbs less at the bottom than I had been in awhile.
We'll see how it goes, but I think waving it like this will be a huge benefit to my training.

i would think the better judge of speed increase would be to compare straight weight before bands to straight weight after the bands round.
what % of bench are u using? and of shirted or raw max? roughly 60% of raw?

Thats a good point Sam. I was somewhat going off the reverse. The bands were the constant, but I didn't put video of my band workouts before I did straight weight
What I'll do is hold on to the videos and after doing bands for 4 weeks, I'll go back to straight weight and get video of that
The bar weight is about 50% but including the bands its about 66% (of my raw)
I've begun to more or less forget about the percentages (to a point) and just focus on the speed. If its fast, its good
