Yeah I saw that. I think its kinda weird for him to go out right now.

maybe he's just tired of fighting

Franklin can stop bulking to get to light heavyweight and try to get the title back now.

Isn't Silva supposed to be fighting Cote sometime soon?

I think that match is October 25th. Does anyone believe Cote has anything more than a puncher's chance??

Nobody has a chance against Spider, the guy is amazing. Will be sad to see him go but theres no shortage of talent or entertaining fights in the UFC so it won't be so bad.

Is this anything more than rumor/speculation right now?

I read something that said he was talking about retiring in a year.

That is all I've found, him talking about retiring in a year. You never know what'll happen in a year.

It could have something to do with simply leaving the UFC for a bigger paycheck. I wonder if Dana has put himself in a spot with his utterly ridiculous contracts where Spider will actually lose on purpose to get out of his deal. If he's champ, it auto-renews.

Tis true.

That should be the way for him to go out.

I hope Henderson gets another shot at Silva. He looked great against Palhares. I would also like to see Maia get some more experience and challenge Silva. I wonder if he is thinking of going to Dream? What I would love to see is Silva fight as a light heavyweight in the ufc.

Agree with the light heavyweight comment.

That is what I want to see. I would also like to see him have another shot at the light HW. Big Henderson fan.

I think most mma fans want to see Silva fight in the light heavy class. Silva still has a long career ahead of him in my opinion.
