OK so I have seeing my doc for the past year or so because I get a lot of heartburn. I have done ultrasound and what not and everything seems OK, however there is not cure for it. He keeps on prescribing me Nexium and says I have to take it for as long as I get a heartburn, which is once a day :( I am only 28. My parents are saying "I told you not to eat big meals. I told you not to eat too much meat, blah blah blah........" I need help guys. What can I do to fix this issue? Should I stop eating meat, and large meals? I don't get full if I don't eat large meals. I am 5"9, 205LBs. I also drink about 3-4 cups of tea after lunch, and dinner to digest food. It feels good, and makes the food go down. Thanks.

Maybe it's not how much you are eating, but WHAT you are eating. Common culprits are tomatoes, tea, coffee, alcohol, greasy meat (pepperoni, etc.). Try cutting out the tea for a week. If that doesn't do it, try cutting out something else until you figure it out.
