Yep just ordered this new product from ON. I thought it was a great idea combining the two.. now lets see if it passes the taste test..

I think people on this board including me already do this with their current whey and oatmeal. Blender + Whey + Oats + Milk/water/sweetener/fruit = good to go.

People will pay extra to be lazy. Grinding oats take a minute. You can make up a huge batch, put it in a container and use it as needed. If you want to pay 20x as much for ON to do it for you go ahead.

Any reviews on how this tastes? Is this more of a quick breakfast meal?

Yeah, I'd rather grind my oats and put them into a quality protein blend powder.

I tried the vanilla bean and the flavor was pretty good I thought. It mixed perfectly as well.

I have tried mixing raw oats in the past ( grinding oats first ) and I always end up with chunks of oats and its hard to drink the shake, if I throw in some frozen fruit then its not an issue, but with just water, protein, and oats then yeah ill pass.

I was given a tub of this product for free about a year ago when it was first released.

The chocolate flavor tastes alright, but it is not something that I would purchase as you are basically just buying overpriced oatmeal with moderate quality protein.

If you are looking for an MRP it is generally better to go with a protein blend rather than whey-only products. This will produce a time-released effect and give your body a steady supply of nutrients. For carbohydrate sources oatmeal is good, or you can just pick up maltodextrin powder and use that for your shakes if you do not like the consistency of oats.
