I have gained weight consistently by lifting hard but I need some way to get extra calories.

I need a lot of calories because I am almost always being active outsides and I workout consistently as well.

I don't care if I am "toned". I just want to be big and strong.

Is this a viable way for some extra calories?
If I did take it does it replace my protein shake or can I take both like I'd want to?

If you don't have the opportunities to put the food away, a product like MAximus or the Maximus Mass Stack even can make a big difference. Supplement your diet with it and you'll be surprised. Mixed with peanut butter and milk you have a shake that loads over 1k cals into one serving. AWESOME stuff!

I agree with Wicked, you can mix up a Maximus shake and throw in some ice cream, milk, peanut butter, oreo cookies, gatorade powder, apple juice, etc. (just not all of them at once).

The supplement will give you the recovery and muscle buildingthat you are looking for while all of the calories will provide mass and bodyweight gains. Maximus has a good profile of nutrients and the vanilla flavor mixes well with all of the above.

What I used to do was make one giant shake and keep a large shaker bottle then drink 8-12 oz. between my meals, splitting it up into 3-4 servings throughout the day.
