Just out of curiosity. Post your bodyweight and whether you're bulking, cutting, or maintaining.

I'm 161 lbs, bulking, eating 4,000.

253 lbs., cutting, averaging about 3250/day. Slowly lower it as required.

Trying to bulk on roughly ~3700... some days it's more like 4200, some days it's more like 3200. Consistency is something I'm struggling with.

Bulking @ 171 lbs. Eating about 4,000 calories a day. I am going to bump this up to 4,500 soon.

Ooops. I meant eating about 5,000 calories a day. Going to go 5,500 soon.

Wow some fast metabolisms in here. I'm between 205 and 210 right now, bulking on a little over 4k cals.

I consume 4200-4500 cals at 168lbs. Considering my labor intensive job, I have to eat that much to maintain my weight. I was surprised at how many calories I had to eat at my weight, but trial and error proved it works.

Yeah I'm real new at this so I kind of pulled that number out of nowhere... I guess we'll see how well it pans out for me over the course of time. My friends and family have all noticed significant increases in my size in just 3 months of not eating like this, so I'm excited to see how it goes for the duration of the bulk.

I agree about the MN thing, only a handful of us on here and none that I've met so far in the same part of MN. Good luck bulking, I'm real interested to see how it goes for everyone.

Cutting/maintaining.... depnding on where I am as far as training load, 3200-5500. It all depends on amount of sessions a week and competition schedule.

nope, I'm gaining as is.

So how do most of you determine your cal load when bulking? Maintenance plus right? Looking at some of your weights, you must be well over 500 above your mx correct? Is it taking that much to gain weight?

for me it's taking that much to gain. I was gaining a little at 3500, but not fast enough so I bumped it up to 4k.

When I first started I weighed about 125lbs and I didn't take the time to track. I assume around 3000 at the most. It was never consistent.

When you create a thread there is an option to add a poll towards the bottom on the page.

8000-10000 depending on my training. I tend to eat more on training days. ( And if I ski, it's probably more like 12000 )

Oh yeah, I'm trying to gain weight. I want to get up to 350.

Alright, before winter break I was eating less than 2000 because I was trying to cut (203lbs to 185), now that I'm on break I've been eating around 3000 because in a weird way, while I am in school it helps me maintain a diet and I have a place to work out because I don't have a gym membership yet.

I'm bulking .. I weigh 170 and eat 5,000+ calories a day. Havent eaten that many in about 2 weeks so it should easily give me a few pounds of muscle in a month or so. In a month, should weigh 185 .. with 5 of that being muscle.

Im 6'2 and 250lbs, i only eat 3-3.5k calories but i make sure they're the right ones. I don't really want to put on any more weight so is why i'm sticking to that amount, my waist is 36 inch and chest is 51 inches and 19 inch arms. I do put on weight easily but when i eat more 50% to my gut and the rest to my muscles i've found over the years.
