Ive heard nothing but great things about this program, from both Pro and Amatuer lifters. As for your question, define "max effort special exercise"

just this one question .... only bench as the core exercise and lockoutwork as a supplemental exercise ? or max effort rotation ? what is the better choice for a raw bencher ?

I'm not sure I follow your question. But if you are a raw bencher than I would treat lockout work as supplemental exercises.

After benching the routine calls for 2 more lifts, one a shoulder exercise (anything from side laterals to other forms of benching) and one back exercise (horizontal or vertical pull)

the question is : only benchpress as coreexercise , or rotating max effort lifts ?

3 weeks 2board 5-3-1 , 1 week deload , 3 weeks floorpress 5-3-1 , 1 week deload , 3 weeks benchpress 5-3-1 and so on...

or just bench ????

Send the question the the EliteFTS Q&A. Or just read his training log as it's pretty obvious.

That's not the same. 5/3/1 is not out(yet). He briefly describes it in Training 3 days a week, but those two are different.

The basic template is described in Training Three Days a Week. It takes up a good 15 + pages of the book.

Yeah, it's in the book as one variation for training 3x/week. The only other book he's talked about putting out soon is on conditioning work, I think.

buy the book man.

I'm not sure this program is for you, though. From your posts, I could tell that you were very antsy in your statements which means to me that your patience for lifting and getting stronger is not there. This program requires alot of patience and hard work. You have to look toward a goal you set a year from now and know you can get there if you are patient.

You basically just squat, deadlift, bench, and overhead press. You'll find out more once you get the book. The book goes into routines designed and influenced by the conjugate method.

Wow. Jim only uses the regular plain ol' bench press, and it seems to be working quite well for him. I've read some of the Q&A where he says its ok to use the "max effort exercises" if you want to.

My advice to you is next time, don't be so demanding when trying to get an answer.

This is the Matt K variation..
