Sorry if this is a stupid question but I want to get something that'll fit me for a while at least. I need a singlet before the 25th so I'm ordering one off elitefts.com since they ship next day. I'm debating on what size however.

Chart says:
Weight: 181 – 198, Size XL

Weight: 220, Size 2XL

I'm between 205 - 210 right now, but I'm also only 5' 8". I do plan on getting back up to about 220/230 this winter, would that be way too much for an XL?

i say get the 2XL. it dosen't really matter how the singlet fits, as long as its on you. just more motivation to get to 230!

I think I bought an XL and was about the same size... but I didn't mind if it was tight. Was just deadlifting raw with it.

If you are using it for bench definitely go 2 XL. Otherwise it is up to you but it will be snug if you go XL.

I ordered a 2xl last night. Just curious though Tom, why do you suggest wearing a larger size for benching?

If there's some loose material in the butt, you can lift your butt a bit and the judges won't think it has come off the bench.

I used to play waterpolo and our coach would tell us that anything that takes place under water is legal as long as the ref doesn't see it.

I see this as a similar situation. If the ref can't distinguish between the ass of your pants and your ass, then it's not your problem. Personally, I'm wearing the same singlet as I was when I was 165lbs, so mine is pretty tight. That's just cuz I'm cheap and I like showing off my balls ;)
