Sorry for being such a noob coming here and asking questions, I know it gets annoying. But I'm looking for some help and thought this is the best place to do it.

I'm a 19 year old student athlete playing baseball. Right now I'm 6'3 180lbs. Once fall ball is over, we have roughly 14 weeks to lift and get ready for the spring season. I'm trying to pack on muscle and get in shape for the spring season. I've been lifting off and on for the past season and the only thing I take is whey protein.

My question is, what supplement would be best for me to help me get bigger and not waste my workouts?

Supplements are meant to supplement a good diet. Get that in shape first. Spend your money on food. Then if needed protein, fish oil, creatine.

Just try not to eat too much crap, and train hard. Don't worry about supplements.

Make sure that you are getting good post workout nutrition to aid in your recovery. I would recommend Opticen by AtLarge Nutrition since it takes out off of the guess work on fat/carbohydrate/protein ratios and also mixes well and tastes good.

As the others mentioned food is very important as well. For athletics you will want to make sure that you are eating to maintain optimal energy levels. I have found that natural peanut butter sandwiches on wheat bread, bannanas, and trail mix are all good for before and during training. Post training I would suggest the shake mentioned above along with some simple sugars from fruit or 100% fruit juices.

Just come up with a balanced diet and weight training program. If you are looking to bulk up a little bit you can throw in some skim milk and one cheat day per week where you eat a whole pizza or something along those lines.

For the weight training I would do some powerlifting movements in the 3-10 rep range along with light olympic lifting (if you have someone to show you) and plyometrics / stability training. Even if you do not have any special equipment you can do cool sports specific stuff by modifying simple exercises. (Example: Next time that you do standing dumbell military presses do them on one leg. Next time that you do dumbell bench press do them one arm at a time forcing your trunk to stabilize, etc.)

Microlactin (AtLargeNutition sells it in ETS-props to them for popularizing this stuff) is mandatory as far as I'm concerned. You can get it at a bunch of different online stores...if money is an issue buy the bulk powder, it is $15-20 for a 250g supply. You only need 2g a day and it will help your recovery dramatically. No side effects.

a multivitamin and a quality protien supplement like nitrean or opticen will be a good start! I also have been taking results and ets and can't say enough good things about them. The recovery and quality that comes with ALN's products is second to none.

Agreed with wicked, Animal Pak may be a good multi for you, and find a good whey protein.
