I had a quick question about protein, and a few other things. I am using EAS protein. I was just wondering if it was a good one to use? I just cant justify spending $50 on a tub of protein that will last me less than a month. And is there that much of a difference between what Im using and a more expensive one? Also I have heard that when lifting on a regular basis you should consume 1 gram of protein for every 1 pound of lean muscle you have. Is this ture? If so when is the best time to take it? Along with that I have heard that you should take a amino acid complex after working out that it helps with muscle recovery, and helps build muscle. And lastly I was wondering if creatine is a good supplement to take? If so which is the best to take, and how much to take. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

EAS is not a bad choice if running low on cash. but i think if you tried Atlarge's Nitrean you wouldn't go back. its a lot easier on your stomach, and instead of just whey proteins you get whey, egg, and casein proteins. these all have different absorption rates, feeding your body a steady flow of amino acids for a longer period of time that an EAS protein would.

IMO, amino acid supplements are not need if you are getting enough protein.

1g per pound of bodyweight is a good guideline

creatine monohydrate works well for some, and not so well for others. overall i think its worth adding in, it costs just pennies a day.

I feel the same way... people are really just paying for hype and taste, as they are all pretty much the same as far as i'm concerned. If you want real protein, eat tuna, salmon, other fish, steak, etc.

the best protein is Nitrean for Atlarge Nutrition. click the link in my sig.

a protein blend is not a hype. there are plenty of studies that prove a protein blend to be superior to a whey only product.

I know I desperately need to increase my protein intake so Ive decided to go with organic Hemp protein.
Because of the EFA's, and all the essentail amino acids. I know other proteins pack more protein, but I wanted something 100% pure, i.e., no sugar or synthetic sugar / sweetner, no chemicals, additives, etc.
