I still have issues with my form. I have no idea why I insist on keeping my head down after I check my grip and when I start to pull. I do know though that my lower back is straight, even though my upper back is not ( which shortens the pull ).

Here's the clip of my 475# deadlift PR. I felt like I had another 40 pounds in me, but my body was finished after this one so I listened to it and stopped.

congratz on the pr man! form looked pretty good. All I see is that you're bringing your hips early then mostly using your lower back to get the weight up. Other than that awesome!

Nice work, closing in on 500 man. I hear ya on the form issues, I'm trying to keep mine in check too, but thats a damn hard thing to do with 400+ lbs on the bar.

Nice pull. x2 on the hips coming up a bit early. Who's the hottie in the background?

Good work!

You are locking your legs way too soon.

Nice video. The gym I hit up on friday nights has those stupid plates that you are using. Those things have a habit of rolling back into your shins!

I agree with Chris that your legs appear to lock out too soon

Great work man!!

Thanks, I appreciate that.

Thanks for the advice. I'll work on it. Any advice on how to accomplish that? Right now, I think I pull like that so my shins/knees are out of the way so I don't constantly bang/scrap them. ( if you look closely, my right sock is bloody in that video. The blood doesn't bother me, but it affects my lift mentally. )

The other night, I had a dream ( OK I know I've been bitten by the iron bug now that I'm dreaming about powerlifting ), and I was pulling sumo. Maybe that's the answer. But when I first started pulling, I felt like I lost all my power ( what little there was back then ) by pulling sumo, but after working squats so hard lately, maybe that's changed. I think next time I do deads I'm going to try sumo.

Yup, 6'8" 297# ( right now, but that's going up! LOL )

Good grief, you carry that weight very well my friend

I think you've already hit on the problem, the bar is too far in front of you. Bloody shins are sweet!!

I like the sumo idea.
