I did P90X for the complete program (90 days), and an additional month. I did this because I binge drink like crazy on the weekends and eat terrible foods.. so it took longer than if I had been more strict.

I kept my diet very strict during the week, however.

I have since come off the program and maintained my strict diet and have been performing high intensity full body routines 2-3x a week with occasional cardio/abs on off days.

Thoughts? (don't mind the lighting at the Zara dressing room)

Definitely a nice improvement. I'm sure the lighting in the last pic helps a bit though.

overall i lost about 20-25lbs, and about 2-3 inches off my waist.

nice work i saw the infomercial for the P90X workout and thought it was a scam.

^i wouldn't say it's a scam, because it's not like those miracle "10 min work out 1x a week" type deals.. you really bust your ass for the 90 days.

it's basically a boot camp where you have 1 hour lifting sessions and a 15 minute ab routine (TOUGH!) and you burn upwards of 600 cals per workout.

on your off days, you do either a plyometrics (jump training), yoga (intense), or kenpo (tae bo type of cardio workout)... for 6 days per week.

I noticed a huge difference playing basketball, because i found that I had much more endurance.

P90x is definitely not for the faint of heart.. it's an intense routine, and not everybody will be able to keep up with it. You have to be pretty disciplined.

As for the lifting part, it's mostly bodyweight movements like pushups at various angles for chest, hundreds of pullups, and shoulder/arm exercises using dumbbells.

Wow Kobe, excellent job.

Ive been thinking about giving this a shot for awhile now. I need you to enlighten me about it tho. This is something that you do at home isnt it? How exactly do they expect you to do everything if you do not have the equipment? Or does this program not require much equip?

very minimal requirements.

1. pushup bars (optional, can just do normal pushups)
2. chair (who doesn't have this?)
3. yoga mat (cheap, or could just workout on carpet inside)
4. dumbbells or resistance bands (good idea to invest in the adjustable kind because you need to switch weights frequently)
5. pullup bar (I used one that hangs on my doorway, no screws and removable)

i worked out in my garage while playing the videos on my laptop. i'm not going to promote any type of piracy, but let's just say that the p90x videos are available if you know where to look.

why would you want to do that? you only weigh 150ish. maybe go on a good bulk and then try.

oh sorry, i forgot to update my profile. i am at 161 lbs now, but i like to be schredded. I am going to get this weekend. The only reason I ask about the gym aspect is, I just recently joined a new gym where I am paying 80$ a month. If i have to pay 80$ a month and not use it, wife will be biotching. That's all.

thanks!

damn 80$ a month? that's pretty intense. One month at golds is 54$ and if you do it for a year its like 33$ a person. I think you need to find a new gym man.

$80 is pretty steep Bro. I also pay $35! Is that including a personal trainer, or tanning sessions or something? Just wondering cause its kinda high for just a plain membership

Good job. It's worse then boot camp. You will be struggling on alot of the p90x. I don't care how fit you think you are, doing it for the first time KICKS your ass.

Just stumbled onto this thread, great results! (especially when you factor in the binge drinking :))

Ya no doubt, this workout is made by the same people who do the Insanity workout. My wife is doing the Insanity workout and it is definitely no joke.
