first of all thx for the comments i appreciate it. it took a long time and really hard work to get to the level where i am right now. i'm blessed to have the right genes for putting on a lot of mass without using roids but i feel like i've reached my maximum strength and to pass that line i would have to start using steroids which is something i don't want to consider at this time.

strict press, push is too hard with that weight.

I would suggest that you don't ask that question in the open forums. If you really want to know, take it to PM.

I'm 6-3 214 so I can definetly see where you have alot more muscle then I. If I may ask, where did you start off at? Were you always lean or overweight? What are you curling currently also. I'm trying to guage how far away I am. I probably have a good ways to go :) I originally started at 280 so I've dropped alot of weight and have been hitting the weight hards.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

i used to be a rather chubby kid but i wasn't like extremely overweight... just one of those big football player guys from high school. my family is really into sports so i grew up playing baseball and football, sailing, swimming and lots more... i can't tell you exactly what level i started from but it was certainly not zero. especially during high school i noticed huge potential in the way my body reacted to weightlifting. i got leaner and at the same time a lot stronger. i'd say that i was probably one of the strongest guys at my school. in college i just carried on with my workout routine while others started abusing steroids (mostly with rather modest results considering to those like me who didn't take steroids). I have to admit i got to a point where i felt like i couldn't achieve more than before and started thinking about trying some of the stuff my buddies were taking but i never actually got to that point.
you asked me about my curling, i curl 160lbs but might be able to do even more weight, just haven't tried it yet, biceps exercises aren't really my favs.
i can't tell you how much you have to do to get to the point where i am right now, if you need any help or suggestions just drop me a note and i'll try to help you.
found some older pictures from my high school senior year so you can see the difference
Real solid, hard physique - you were big even in high school.

That definetly helps. Even in high school you were bigger then me :).
But at least I know I have a goal to obtain to. I've been seeing fast increases so I'm hoping my body reacts to my results. Last I checked, I'm at 15% body fat at 214 and we are the same height so you can tell you have more LBM then me. I was trying to drop to 205 and then start doing bulking phases but having a really hard dropping weight. I can't imagine I'm gaining that much muscle and I've even dropped my calories continually to around 1800 with a 40/40/20 ratio using fitday.com. I'm running about 500 calories a day 5 days a week and hitting weights hard 3 days a week. Gains have been very well though so I can't complain.
Benching I'm at 250. Curling I never max out on but I generally do about 95. When I started, I can't even remember curling but my max at benching was a pathetic 170 lol. (May of 08) I figure most of my fast gains was probably due to never lifting weights and just getting the quick newbieness gains.

why would you wana get FATTER?

I think he was joking, but from a powerlifting standpoint, a lot of the best lifters in the country would greatly increase the length of their stroke if they didn't have their belly.
why would you wana get FATTER?
because fat is a good source of energy, beaten only by carbs, meaning you can lift harder, hence packing on more muscle (as well as the additional food you will need to get fatter - it all helps). Also someone with a higher bodyweight may lift more weight. It's no wonder our ancestor cavemen were so large.
